Within no time, Cheech—or “The Smiling Dog,” as he became known—received over 50 applications from people wanting to adopt him. The shelter was amazed at how quickly he captured so many hearts. And after carefully considering the applications, the staff found the perfect match: a woman whose puppy had recently passed away from cancer. It was clear that Cheech and his new owner were meant to be together. 🐕💕
