Full Post:
A farmer stumbled upon something incredible while checking his plot in the Trans-Baikal Territory. He found four tiny kittens abandoned at an old cattle station. Helpless and in desperate need of care, he knew he couldn’t just walk away. But these weren’t your average kittens… They were the cubs of the Pallas’s cat—also known as the manul, a rare wild cat species from Central Asia.

The farmer reached out to the International Reserve “Dauria” for help, and experts confirmed his suspicions: these kittens were not just cute furballs, but part of an endangered species. The manul is listed in the Red Book and is considered “close to threatened.” 🐱🌍

To save them, the reserve had two domestic cats nurse the kittens. After growing up, the manuls were released back into the wild, but not without some final parting gifts: collars for tracking. 💔

These wildcats are incredibly unique, with short, powerful legs, dense fur, and a stocky physique that sets them apart from regular domestic cats. 🐾
