You have to see this! A donkey stranded in floodwaters in Ireland is now safe, warm, and smiling from ear to ear—and it’s all thanks to the kindness of strangers 💕.
Last weekend, severe weather damaged a gate at a stable in Killorglin, County Kerry, allowing the donkey to wander out. By morning, he was trapped in a flooded field, unable to escape on his own. The situation looked grim… until a heroic member of the Killorglin Rowing Club, Mike Fleming, stepped in.

Mike, along with a rescue team from Animal Heaven Animal Rescue (AHAR), suited up, secured the donkey with a buoyancy aid and rope, and bravely pulled him to safety through the rising waters. It was a tense and emotional moment.
They named the rescued donkey Mike, in honor of his lifesaver. 🥹💞
Now safe at AHAR, little Mike has been treated by a vet, wrapped in warm towels, fed hot mash, and started on antibiotics to help his recovery. He has a touch of fluid in his lungs but is expected to fully heal.

But the best part?
💫 He’s SMILING. And that smile says it all—thank you, humans! 💫
📸 Just look at his face! The joy, the relief… it’s pure magic. 🐴✨
Let’s flood Facebook with this beautiful story of compassion. Mike’s smile is a reminder that there are still kind-hearted people in this world, and every life matters—no matter how small.

🙏💖 Huge thanks to the rescuers, the vet, and everyone who shared the original post asking for help.
